The 5/8” diameter hitch pin secures the ball mount inside the trailer hitch receiver and the 1/2″ diameter hitch pin secures the ball platform to the shank. Both locks use the same key so there’s no rifling through your key ring each time you need to lock or unlock either pin. Pins are constructed of chrome-plated hardened steel which makes them durable and rust resistant.
